A year-round initiative providing free classes and workshops for parents at more than 200 sites. The Parent Academy helps parents become full partners in their child\u2019s education and to be engaged in their academic success. The goal of this program is to provide educational excellence for all of our children by informing parents about the importance of their roles, connecting families with schools and resources, and giving parents a fuller sense of their rights, responsibilities, and the educational opportunities available.<\/a><\/p>\t\t\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t <\/div>\r\n <\/div>\r\n

An initiative that assists homeless students with school enrollment, transportation, free lunch, and case management. The Foundation for New Education Initiatives (FNEI) and Miami-Dade County Public Schools\u2019 Superintendent Alberto M. Carvalho team up each year to host the Superintendent\u2019s 5K Challenge \u2013 Race for Education benefiting local public schools.
